The Kari-me is a UK manufactured wrap around
carrier based on the traditional design
but using a modern fabric. It is made of 90% cotton with a touch
of lycra
so is stretchy and snug fitting once tied in place. The
softness and stretch of the Kari me fabric makes this a particularly
lovely sling to use with a newborn.
The
fabric of the Kari me is widest in the middle (70cm approx) and
then tapers towards the ends
to make for easier tying. One size fits all with this sling; if
you are
smaller you can tuck the ends out of the way after tying. The
wrap is 5m long approx which will be long enough for most people.
Because of the nature of the fabric you need to tie the Kari-me on
quite tightly so it fits you closely before you put the baby in. It then
provides a lovely supportive and snug carry, which is very comfortable
for both of you.
