Hospital Kit for Baby

One of the questions I am asked a lot is, "what exactly do I need for my newborn baby in the hospital", a lot of first time parents are confused with all the baby terminology for vests, bodysuits, sleepsuits etc!  Indeed I was myself only a short while ago! 

I have recently had my 3rd baby, a little girl and I decided it would be a good idea to put kits together for new parents.

This is a standard hospital kit.  First time mothers rarely know before they go into hospital how long they will be in for. The majority are out within 2/3days, a few who have had sections will be out in 5 days.  

Details of this kit are:

3 x Organic cotton Wrap around vests - Why wrap around? Well babies hate having clothing pulled over their heads and first time parents can be a little anxious when dressing baby. With these vests you simply open the vest, lie baby down on it and wrap it closed!

2 sleepsuits - The sleepsuits are unisex organic cotton (may vary slightly from image shown in pic)

1 baby gown -  A Baby gown is elasticated at the bottom to make nappy changing a breeze! It even has integral scratch mitts! It is a great alternative to a sleepsuit so all you need under the gown is babies vest.

1 x farm print blanket - Organic cotton blanket that doubles as a receiving blanket.

1 beanie organic cotton stripe hat

1 pair organic cotton scratch mitts

1 Organic cotton baby towel

1 Greenbaby Nappy Balm
